No, not the kind with boats, character shipping. Please note that I know the irony/hypocrisy of writing this with what my avatar is on here.
It's becoming abundantly clear that people pairing up characters like a matchmaker for every show is becoming a major pain. The biggest offenders? Zutara fans from Avatar.

If you're like me, you facepalmed a thousand times over. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for people enjoying things in their own way, but these people take things way too far. They act like their lives are so full of trauma and they've been betrayed by Mike and Bryan (refuse to use 'Bryke' to refer to them) because their precious pairing FAILED MISERABLY.
Guess what? It was never in the cards and you're all a bunch of delusional piles of butthurt.
I never understood why they thought it would happen in the first place. It was never plausible. Katara would sooner kill Zuko with her bare hands than love him. And the worst part of that journal was this:
"Now, there is a flip side to this. What about the Kataangers? Shouldn't they be ecstatic about their ship's glory? Like, if that interview had of said, Sorry Kataangers, but Zutara was our intention from the very beginning. And seriously, kids! Kataang would never have worked out anyway. Aang is too young and we specially developed Katara's character to be a motherly figure to Aang , wouldn't Zutarians be going CRAZY?! Well of course!
But this is the opinion of the Kataangers that I've talked to so far...
"Meh. Whatever. I knew it was going to happen anyway. It was just too obvious. Nothing new here, no surprise."
And why is it that they aren't exactly jumping for joy?
Because that's just it--Kataang and Maiko are old, boring, and dull. "
No, no, no, no, no. The only reason Kataang people weren't jumping up and down with excitement was that it was pretty much an accepted fact that it would happen. IT MADE SENSE! Plus the quicker it was accepted, the quicker the majority of us could get back to the awesome core of action, comedy and story that we grew to love out of this show. Frankly there'd be a lot more rage than squeals if Zutara happened, not only from Kataang shippers but from people thinking that Mike and Bryan had lost their minds with a bad story choice for the sake of a minor curveball.
If you Zutara people want to go sulk in a corner and be emo over your 'dream' shattering, fine. Just go far away enough for the rest of us to enjoy the epic win of the rest of Avatar. When you can accept your fail, then we all can start getting along again.
